1. Para Badminton Athletes’ Commission Chair / Deputy Chair

Further to the announcement of the election results for Para Badminton Athletes’ Commission (2025-2029) (linked here), the new Commission met on Sunday and elected their Chair and Deputy Chair.

We are pleased to inform you that the Chair and Deputy Chair are:

• Daniel Chan (HKG) – Chair
• Cathrine Rosengren (DEN) – Deputy Chair

Congratulations to both Daniel and Cathrine on their election to their roles.

Daniel as Chair of the Commission becomes a BWF Council member. He had served as Interim Chair of the Commission from April to October 2025 following Richard Perot’s election to Vice President Para Badminton at the AGM in Xiamen.

2. Subscription Invoices 2026

In early November, the BWF Finance Team sent out the Subscription Invoice for 2026.

Please note that the invoice was generated by the NetSuite accounting system and emailed directly to each Member Association to their regular email contact address together with a message on the subscription amount in the body of the email. The invoice is attached in the email.

3. Get Ready for the AGM 2026

The BWF Annual General Meeting 2026 will be held on Saturday 25 April 2026 in Horsens, Denmark, just before the TotalEnergies BWF Thomas and Uber Cup Finals – 26 April – 3 May 2026. The BWF Members’ Forum will take place on Friday 24 April 2026.

In December we will send out a notice on the visa support letter process and hotel bookings. In the meantime, here are a few reminders:

• Information will be uploaded on the AGM 2026 corporate website.
• Minutes of the BWF AGM 2025– Xiamen – attached here for convenience.
• Closing date to receive AGM proposals = 19 December (see the Notice of 10 October).

Plan Early for the AGM 2026

1. Check your Continental Confederation will host their AGM in Horsens in 2026.
2. Decide early who your delegate(s) will be for the AGM 2026.
3. Ask your delegate to check the expiry date of their passport (at least 6 months validity).
4. Check whether your delegate(s) need a visa to travel to Denmark.
5. Look into the routes, airlines and cost of flights to Billund Airport (BLL), Denmark.
