AirBadminton International Tournaments and Continental Championships 2026

Following the success of the AirBadminton Continental Championships and inaugural BWF AirBadminton World Cup in 2025, we would like to invite Member Associations to host an international AirBadminton tournament.

The focus is on providing a simple, low-cost and easy to administer tournament structure that helps build on the global development of AirBadminton, as well as the international athletes pathway for the sport. All international tournaments will be considered the same level of tournament.

What do you need to do to host an International Tournament in 2026?

To host a 2026 AirBadminton International Tournament, Member Associations are required to submit a Sanction Request (3 months before tournament start) through the following form.

Once received, BWF will process the sanction request and enter the event into the BWF system. We will also share an Event Manual with the Member Association, to get you started with what would be needed to host.All player and team entries must be submitted by MAs through the BWF Online Entry System, with entries closing three weeks prior to the tournament start date.

There is no sanctioning fee required from Member Associations to host. The priority is expanding global participation and the international athletes pathway, and building capacity/knowledge across all continents.

European AirBadminton Championships plus other Continental Championships 2026

The European AirBadminton Championships 2026 will take place in Greece from 14-16 October 2026.

Further information will follow on this in due course, along with information regarding the other AirBadminton Continental Championships. The Pan Am AirBadminton Cup 2026 took place in April, with Brazil taking the Team Relay title. Dominican Republic were runners up.

VICTOR AirBadminton Bulgaria International 2026
