Badminton in World University Championships

The World University Badminton Championship has been held every two years since its inaugural event in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1990, with subsequent editions including the 2008 Championship in Braga, Portugal, and the 2020 event in Bangkok. Most recently, badminton was featured at the Rhine‑Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games held from 22–26 July at the Westenergie Sporthalle. The next edition will take place at the Chungcheong 2027 FISU World University Games in the Republic of Korea, scheduled for 1–12 August 2027.
