World University Championships

International University Sports Federation (FISU) organises world-class sports and educational events for university students, which promote the pursuit of excellence in mind and body. FISU is the organising body that organised World University Championships. For more information, linked here.

Badminton in World University Championships

World University Badminton Championship has been held every 2 years since the first World University Badminton Championship in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1990. The 2008 World University Badminton Championship in Braga, Portugal recorded the highest number of participants with the total of 233 players from 22 countries. Next year, the FISU World University Badminton Championship will be held in Bangkok from 16-22 November 2020.

The badminton competitions at the World University Badminton Championship are organised in accordance with the most recent technical regulations of the BWF.
