BWF policies are part of the BWF Statutes which is the complete set of BWF rules – constitution, guidelines, policies, the code of ethics, codes of conduct, judicial procedures, laws of badminton and all technical regulations for the sport.

Policy development is the responsibility of the Governance and Ethics Technical Commission (GETC) who work with key staff (BWF Secretary General, COO and Head of Legal/Governance), to review existing policies and make recommendations on enhancements and new polices.

The GETC makes recommendations to the Governance and Ethics Committee who make recommendations to the BWF Council for approval.
