The BAHRAIN BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2026 will be held in Manama, Bahrain from 8 – 14 February 2026.
At the Championships, there will be an iambadminton iZone, which is a fun information and awareness activation that offers players the opportunity to learn more about integrity topics, such as anti-doping and anti-match manipulation.
In the lead up to the BAHRAIN BWF Para Badminton World Championships the BWF delivered two virtual information sessions – 09 December 2025 and 27 January 2026.
For the virtual session on 09 December 2025, the focus was on the anti-doping education requirement as set out in Article 17.2 of the BWF Anti-Doping Regulations – every player needing to have received some form of recognised anti-doping education prior to the Championships to become eligible to compete.
Representatives from a number of Member Associations / Para Sport Organisations Recognised by the BWF attended the information session, with the following topics being covered:
- Requirements for the Para Badminton World Championships
- Player information / engagement
- Integrity activities / information
- 11 mandatory topics for education – anti-doping information
- Resources / communication / inspiration
For the virtual session delivered on 27 January 2026, the focus was on the BWF’s integrity awareness activation, also known as the ‘iZone’ being delivered at the Championships in Bahrain.
Again, representatives from a number of Member Associations / Para Sport Organisations Recognised by the BWF attended the information session, with the session outlining fun activities that would be available at the iZone, for the players and support personnel to enjoy.
The recordings of both information sessions, as well as the presentation slides can be found linked below and also in the download section at the top of the page.

Under Clause 17.2 of the BWF Anti-Doping Regulations, the BWF has selected the BAHRAIN BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2026 as an event where players must complete anti-doping educational activities before they participate in the event in Bahrain.
This means that every player must complete an anti-doping education course before they arrive in Bahrain for the Championships. This is a mandatory requirement in order to compete at the BAHRAIN BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2026
Member Associations must provide BWF with proof of completion of the anti-doping education training for each player going to Bahrain no later than Friday 30 January 2026.
Email the proof of completion to Integrity Assistant Manager, Murali Paramasivam [email protected]
During the championships BWF will deliver a series of integrity educational activities at the iZone, similar to what we have done before (link here).
