The BWF has a system of awards to recognise excellence, achievement and service to the sport and to the badminton community.  The system of awards is governed by the Award Regulations in the Statutes Section 1.2.3 which detail the selection criteria for each award and defines who can nominate individuals and organisations for an award.

Nominations must be received by the Secretary General no later than 31 October each year.  These will be reviewed by the Awards Commission and recommendations are then made to the Administration Committee and then to Council at its November / December meeting.
