Get Ready – BWF AGM 2026 – Horsens [Key Tasks to Complete in January]

January is the time to complete tasks for the AGM 2026 being held Saturday 25 April 2026 in Horsens, Denmark.

Complete your Registration – with your host association Badminton Denmark – register participants / book accommodation / visa letter
Complete the nominate form – your voting delegate / your second delegate

There are 3 Steps

Choose your delegate(s) – book their flights to Billund (BLL) Airport – Denmark
Complete these tasks: https://team.badminton.dk/tu/ This is the one location to make all your arrangements with the Host Organisation –

to request a visa support letter (if you need a visa for Denmark)
to book and pay for accommodations (deadline 8 March 2026)
to request transport from airport to hotel (deadline Friday 3 April)
to request accreditation

Saturday 30 January 2026 – Deadline for 2026 subscriptions
Friday 6 March 2026 – Notice of AGM / agenda / papers / annual report (7 weeks out)
Sunday 8 March 2026 – Accommodation Deadline – book and pay to secure a room
Friday 20 March 2026 – Deadline for amendments to proposals (5 weeks out)
Friday 3 April – Transport – Deadline to request transport from airport to hotel
Friday 24 April 2026 – Members’ Forum 2026
Saturday 25 April 2026 – 97^th BWF AGM | Gala Dinner
Friday 24 April – Sunday 3 May 2026 – BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2026

There are 3 hotels to accommodate delegates and observers:

1) Comwell Bygholm Park (the official AGM hotel) – European delegates / observers

2) Scandic Opus – Delegates / observers from Asia and Oceania

3) Pejsegaarden – delegates and observers from Pan Am and Africa.

Hotel Rates

- Single occupancy = US$195
- Twin (2 people) = US$215
- Accommodation Subsidy – BWF will reimburse 3 nights accommodation for one registered delegate from each Member in Good Standing, and an additional night if you Continental Confederations is hosting its AGM in Horsens.

Plan Early – Get Ready

Check your Continental Confederation will host their AGM in Horsens in 2026.
Decide early who your delegate(s) will be for the AGM 2026.
Ask your delegate to check the expiry date of their passport (at least 6 months validity).
Check whether your delegate(s) needs a visa to travel to Denmark.
Look into the routes, airlines and cost of flights to Billund Airport (BLL) – Book flights.

BWF will provide a travel grant for one voting delegate for each Member who attends the BWF Forum and the AGM 2026 after the event. Details in early February.
