Para Badminton – 2026 World Abilitysport Youth Games
We are pleased to confirm that Para badminton will feature on the official sport programme of the 2026 World Abilitysport Youth Games.
2026 World Abilitysport Youth Games
The 2026 World Abilitysport Youth Games will take place from 15–22June in Mersin, Türkiye.
Para badminton has been included in the programme alongside 3×3 Wheelchair Basketball, Adaptive Sepak Takraw, Para Athletics (Field Only), Para Dance Sport, Para Sailing, Fencing and Para Swimming.
Entry Information, Events & Classification
The event is open to both Standing and Wheelchair athletes in the SL3, SL4, SU5, SH6, WH1 and WH2 sport classes.
It is for U21 athletes only. Athletes must be minimum of 13 years of age and maximum 21 years of age as of 31st December 2026.
Entry is currently open through the BWF Online Entry platform. Entry will close on Friday 8 May 2026.
The tournament will provide the opportunity for Para badminton athletes in the U21 age category to be internationally classified and participate in a Multi-Sport Games.

This event will not carry BWF Para Badminton World Ranking points.
