Closing Date for Proposals – BWF AGM 2026

Please find attached the Notice of the Closing Date for Proposals for the AGM 2026.

The BWF Annual General Meeting 2026 will be held on Saturday 25 April 2026 in Horsens, Denmark, just before the TotalEnergies BWF Thomas and Uber Cup Finals – 26 April – 3 May 2026. The BWF Members’ Forum will take place on Friday 24 April 2026.


  1. Deadline for Proposals

As per Clause 15.1 of the BWF Constitution, the BWF advises that the exact Closing Date for submitting proposals, and the seconding of these nominations, is midnight KL time on Friday 19 December 2025.

 Friday 10 October 2025 – Notice of the Closing Date for Proposals

  • Friday 19 December 2025 – Closing Date for Proposals (at least 16 weeks out)
  • Saturday 30 January 2026 – Deadline for 2026 subscriptions
  • Friday 6 March 2026 – Notice of AGM / agenda / papers / annual report (7 weeks out)
  • Friday 20 March 2026 – Deadline for amendments to proposals (5 weeks out)
  • Friday 24 April 2026 – Members’ Forum 2026
  • Saturday 25 April 2026 – 97th BWF AGM | Gala Dinner
  • Sunday 26 April – 3 May 2026 – TotalEnergies BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals

  1. Plan Early – Get Ready
  • Check your Continental Confederation will host their AGM in Horsens in 2026.
  • Decide early who your delegate(s) will be for the AGM 2026.
  • Ask your delegate to check the expiry date of their passport (at least 6 months validity).
  • Check whether your delegate(s) need a visa to travel to Denmark.
  • Look into the routes, airlines and cost of flights to Billund Airport (BLL).
