AirBadminton National & International Tournaments – BWF Support Package

We are excited to announce that the BWF will provide a support package to countries organising a National AirBadminton Tournament and/or an International AirBadminton Tournament.

This support is closely aligned with the BWF AirBadminton Tournament Structure that was launched earlier this year. By providing this support package, the BWF aims to accelerate the development and integration of AirBadminton at the national, regional, and international level.

National / International AirBadminton Tournaments

To receive the BWF Support Package, Member Associations will need to submit an application form online.

Through the application, the BWF will be able to collect information and action the support. In addition, you will be assisting with the following:

Development of database of AirBadminton players globally
Development of AirBadminton World Ranking system – connecting the National to International tournament structures

You will also receive the following:

Publication of your National Tournament and International Tournament on the BWF Calendar
Results of your National Tournament and International Tournament published on the BWF website (format to be determined)
Advice related to the running of your Tournament (as required)

BWF Support Details

The Support will include the following:

Equipment

AirShuttles: A supply of BWF AirShuttles that will ensure your national championship has enough equipment for exciting matches and practice sessions.
Competition Kits: Each kit includes essential equipment for setting up an AirBadminton court, including boundary lines, service markers and a bag.

Rules of AirBadminton: BWF Statutes, Section 4.2 (link)
AirBadminton Tournament Guidelines (link): Key information on how to organise an AirBadminton tournament including practical guidance on court setup, equipment specifications, and tournament organization.
Basic Guidelines for Technical Officials (link): To support the implementation of your tournaments and training for Technical Officials.

Promotion

Customized AirBadminton Country Logo – email [email protected] to request your country logo if you don’t have it already
Promotion: Content and Photos from each tournament and activity will be published on the BWF Development Media Platforms

For international, regional, and multi-sports events, the BWF may offer additional support on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for further information.

The BWF assumes no responsibility for the organisation, safety, or operational aspects of any tournament and shall not be liable for any claims or liabilities arising therefrom. This support is provided solely for promotional and development purposes.

Application and Reporting Process

All BWF Member Associations in Good Standing can apply to receive the above support by following the below process:

Apply Online (Click here).
You will receive an email from the BWF on the status of your application and, if approved, the details of the support.
No later than 2 weeks after the tournament, complete the Tournament Report Form (link).
Send the Tournament Results (Excel, PDF or Tournament Software) and at least 10 photos to [email protected].
