BWF AGM 2026 Planning – Get Ready Early

As you know, the BWF AGM 2026 will be held on Saturday 25 April 2026 in Horsens, Denmark followed by a Gala Delegates Dinner in the evening. The BWF Members’ Forum will take place the day before on Friday 24 April 2026.

1. Deadline for Proposals

The Closing Date for submitting proposals and seconding these is midnight KL time on Friday 19 December 2025.

2. Key Dates

• Friday 19 December 2025 – Closing Date for Proposals (at least 16 weeks out)
• Saturday 30 January 2026 – Deadline for 2026 subscriptions
• Friday 6 March 2026 – Notice of AGM / agenda / papers / annual report (7 weeks out)
• Sunday 8 March 2026 – Accommodation Deadline – book and pay to secure a room
• Friday 20 March 2026 – Deadline for amendments to proposals (5 weeks out)
• Friday 3 April – Transport – Deadline to request transport from airport to hotel
• Friday 24 April 2026 – Members’ Forum 2026
• Saturday 25 April 2026 – 97^th BWF AGM | Gala Dinner
• Friday 24 April – Sunday 3 May 2026 – BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2026

3. Arrival Airport / Hotel(s)

There are 3 hotels to accommodate delegates and observers:

1) Comwell Bygholm Park (the official AGM hotel) – European delegates / observers

2) Scandic Opus – Delegates / observers from Asia and Oceania

3) Pejsegaarden – delegates and observers from Pan Am and Africa.

• Continental Confederation AGMs – Horsens
• We understand that three Continental Confederations will have their AGM in Horsens on Thursday 23 April 2026. Please check with your Continental Confederations.

Accommodation Subsidy – BWF will reimburse 3 nights accommodation for one registered delegate from each Member in Good Standing, and an addition night if you Continental Confederations is hosting its AGM in Horsens.

4. Visa Support Letter / Booking Accommodation / Transport

There is only one location to make all your arrangements with the Host Organisation – Badminton Denmark.

Note – EACH Forum / AGM participant must complete this process.

5. Delegate Nomination Form

Members in Good Standing must register delegates through the BWF online nomination form. This is a different process to the registration process above.

6. Plan Early – Get Ready

1. Check if your Continental Confederation will host their AGM in Horsens in 2026.
2. Decide early who your delegate(s) will be for the AGM 2026.
3. Ask your delegate to check the expiry date of their passport (at least 6 months validity).
4. Check whether your delegate(s) need a visa to travel to Denmark.
5. Look into the routes, airlines and cost of flights to Billund Airport (BLL).
