Shuttle Time – New Videos Launched!!

Dear Member Associations,

We are delighted to announce the launch of the new and modernised BWF Shuttle Time Video clip series. This exciting update represents a significant enhancement to the Shuttle Time resources used globally by teachers and coaches for grassroots badminton development.

The 92 new videos can be viewed on the BWF Development Channel on YouTube.

The new inclusive videos have been fully revamped and are now more contemporary and engaging for all users. This modernisation effort ensures that our coaches and educators have the best possible tools to inspire young people and introduce them to the sport in a fun, safe and engaging way.

New Videos Features

Graphics and Animation: Enhanced graphics and new animation were added for clearer and more dynamic instruction.

New Characters: Relatable animated characters were added with a more explicit voiceover.

Tip: Each video includes a tip for teachers and coaches.

Modern Look & Feel: A fresh, sleek visual identity in an indoor and outdoor environment for our diverse audience.

Innovative Features: Other new features designed to make the delivery of the Shuttle Time programme more effective and inspiring.

Inclusivity and Diversity: The new videos are more than ever related to our global audience and include elements of inclusion and diversity.

Growth Disciplines: The new videos demonstrate how lessons can be implemented outdoors.

Lesson Walkthrough Video: To guide teachers and coaches on the planning and delivery of the lesson, a new video has been introduced.

Accessing the Videos

The videos can be viewed on our Development channel on YouTube. For the Shuttle Time App, we will proceed with a gradual update until early 2026.

The videos are currently in English. French, Spanish, and Arabic subtitles will be added gradually as well.

About BWF Shuttle Time

Launched in 2012, BWF Shuttle Time is primarily a schools badminton programme supporting the principle that children should lead a healthy and active life, both in and out of school. The BWF’s goal is to make badminton one of the world’s most popular and accessible school sports.

Shuttle Time offers school teachers access to free resources, training and equipment, which support the teaching of enjoyable, safe and inclusive badminton activities to children aged 5-15 years old. Shuttle Time lessons are designed to provide children with a positive image of badminton through many opportunities to have fun, engage with others and experience success.

Shuttle Time is currently being implemented in more than 162 countries in partnership with the BWF’s Continental Confederations and Member Associations.
