Deadline Extension: Para AirBadminton – 2025 World Abilitysport Beach Games

We are pleased to announce that the deadline for Entry by Name for the 2025 World Abilitysport Beach Games has been extended to 19 September 2025.

2025 World Abilitysport Beach Games

The first edition of the 2025 World Abilitysport Beach Games will take place from 18–25 October in Mersin, Türkiye, featuring a sport programme of aquatic, open-air and beach sports

Para AirBadminton has been included in the programme alongside Beach ParaVolley, Adaptive Padel, Adaptive Sepak Takraw, Para Inclusive Sailing, Para Modern Pentathlon (Laser Run), and Para Powerlifting.

This is a development-based competition for Para players (standing classes) and offers an opportunity to access competitive AirBadminton in a fun and inclusive environment as part of the Beach Games.

Entry Information, Events & Classification

Entry by name for the Games is open to Standing Sport Classes only (SL3, SL4, SU5 and SH6) and closes on Friday 19 September.

This email includes a link to the Entry Information Pack which will provide you with logistical, financial and sport specific details for the Games. The entry form for you to complete is also attached and we ask you return the completed form along with accreditation photos to [email protected] and [email protected] by Friday 19 September. Please adhere to this entry deadline as late entry fees will be chargeable.

Reminder: The tournament will have a development focus, with a Team Relay, Men’s Triples, Women’s Triples, and Doubles events included.

The event will not carry BWF Para Badminton World Ranking points and participants do not need to be internationally classified to register. Those with a confirmed international classification status are encouraged to participate.
