3 x 15 Scoring System Testing Update
Further to our Notice of last Friday (see below), for your convenience, we have attached are the applicable Laws of Badminton for the 3 x 15 scoring system, as per the Laws of Badminton (BWF Statutes, Section 4.1) and the Alternative Laws of Badminton (BWF Statutes, Section 4.1.4).
Please find below the update regarding the 3 x 15 Scoring System Testing which we also sent last Friday.
3 x 15 Scoring System Testing Update
Thank you to those Continental Confederations and Member Associations who have agreed to test the 3 x 15 Scoring System at selected Grade 3 and National tournaments within their jurisdictions, from April through October 2025.
Summary of Grade 3 Tournaments Testing 3 x 15
For the awareness and preparation of Member Associations and their respective players and coaches, the following is a summary of Grade 3 tournaments at which the 3 x 15 Scoring System will be tested:

We will keep Member Associations updated should there be any change to the above list of tournaments.
Each host will be collecting match data, and all stakeholders, including Member Association leadership and staff, host organisers and their volunteers, players, coaches, team managers, and technical officials will be asked to complete an online survey about their experience with the 3 x 15 system at these tournaments.

National Tournaments Testing 3 x 15
Member Associations testing the 3 x 15 system at selected national tournaments will communicate those directly to their respective membership.
Laws of Badminton for 3 x 15
For player and technical official preparation, attached is a summary of the applicable Laws of Badminton for the 3 x 15 Scoring System, as per the Laws of Badminton (BWF Statutes, Section 4.1) and the Alternative Laws of Badminton (BWF Statutes, Section 4.1.4).
Thanks in advance for your support of this important project which will help BWF Council to make a final decision regarding proposing this new system to the BWF Annual General Meeting 2026.
