Updates to Governance Regulations

The BWF Council met on Saturday 09 November 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, following five days of Committee and Commission meetings.

The following is a summary of decisions related to governance matters:

  1. New Associate Member – Saint Pierre and Miquelon Badminton
  2. Governance Regulations – amendments approved by Council.

  1. New Associate Member

Under Clause 11.2 of the BWF Constitution, the Council admitted the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Badminton Association as an Associate Member of the BWF. This means that there are now 202 BWF Members, including 12 Associate Members.

  1. BWF Governance Regulations

The BWF Council approved amendments to the following regulations:

  1. Guidelines for Council and Executive Board Procedures
  2. Federation Rules and Procedures
  3. Judicial Procedures

a) Guidelines for Council and Executive Board
