Closing Date for Proposals and Nominations – AGM 2025

The Closing Date for Members to submit proposals for the AGM agenda and to nominate people for the Council elections 2025 was midnight KL time, Friday 6 December 2024.

Thank you to Members who submitted proposals and nominated people for the Council elections.

The Nominees List will be published and the membership notified on Wednesday 11 December.

As per the Guide to the Council Elections 2025 (linked here), there are a number of steps towards the elections:

Step 1 – Nominations / seconding – this is now complete.

Step 2 – Vetting of Nominees is now underway.

All nominees for elections are now being vetted by the Independent Vetting Panel (IVP).

When nominees are declared “Eligible”, they officially become “candidates” for the elections (see BWF Constitution – Clause 2.3 – Appendix II for the Eligibility Criteria).

AGM 2025 – Xiamen, China

As you know, the BWF Annual General Meeting 2025 will be held on Saturday 26 April 2025 in Xiamen, China, in conjunction with the TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup Finals (27 April – 4 May 2025). See the AGM page of the BWF website (linked here).
