AGM and Council Elections 2025

As we announced at the AGM 2024 in Chengdu, the BWF is planning to host the BWF Annual General Meeting 2025, in Xiamen, China, on Saturday 26 April 2025.

You will recall that the elections for BWF Council (2025-2029) will be held at the BWF AGM in April 2025.

The positions that are open for the elections at the BWF AGM 2025 are:

• President
• Deputy President
• Vice President Para Badminton
• Ordinary Council Member (20 positions)

As per Clause 15.1 of the BWF Constitution, the BWF will send out the official Notice of the Closing Date for proposals and nominations on Friday 11 October 2024. This is earlier than previous years.

As we informed the membership at the AGM in Chengdu, the BWF is starting the process earlier for this election cycle to ensure there is sufficient time for the vetting process to be concluded in good time to allow a reasonable campaign process for Candidates.
