ISF GYMNASIADE 2024 – World School Sport Games – Bahrain Awaits!

We are pleased to announce that Para badminton will be making its debut and will join badminton as official sports at the ISF Gymnasiade 2024! The Games will be held in Manama, Bahrain, from 23 to 31 October 2024.

The BWF encourages Member Associations and National Paralympic Committees to register for the games and to encourage participation at the ISF Gymnasiade 2024 – World School Sport Games.

The bulletin containing all details about the ISF U18 Gymnasiade 2024 is attached. Please note that this competition is open to students born in 2006 or earlier.

BWF and ISF Collaboration

The BWF, the ISF, the Local Organising Committee and the Bahrain Badminton & Squash Federation will actively collaborate to deliver a number of development activities at the Games:

• Shuttle Time Training
• BWF Dual Career, including scholarships opportunities for students.
• AirBadminton Activation
• ISF Cultural Activities

Entry Information

Who can Register?

The ISF Gymnasiade welcomes participants from various entities, whether ISF Members or not:

• Member National School Associations
• BWF Member Associations
• Schools
• Other Institutions

The BWF recommends that Member Associations collaborate with their corresponding National School Association for registration.

How to Register?

All entries are submitted through the ISF online platform: https://isf-eras.org/.

National School Associations (ISF Members) will have an account and existing credentials.  For non ISF Members, including BWF Member Associations, you will need to click the ‘Sign Up’ option on the login page.  You will then receive your login details via email.

Please note that registration closes next month on 23 June 2024.

International School Sport Federation (ISF)

The International School Sport Federation (ISF) was founded in 1972 as an international non-profit sports organisation, acting as the umbrella organisation and governing body for national school sport organisations around the world organising sport and educational events for youth from 6 to 18 years old.

The ISF is recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and consists of 132 members over the five continents. They organise over 10 events per year and have more than 30 different sports included in its competition programme.
