Para Badminton Tournaments 2023 & 2024 Update

We are pleased to confirm the Para Badminton Calendar for 2024.

Para Badminton Calendar 2024

Tournaments between January and March 2024 count for Paris 2024 Paralympic Games qualification. Tournaments after the qualification period will count for World Rankings and seeding at the Paralympic Games.

Please refer to the BWF Corporate Website Para Badminton Calendar page (linked here) for the dates of the tournaments. This site will be updated from time to time.

Members are reminded to check the prospectus of each tournament first for further details on participation.

There will not be additional tournaments added throughout the qualification period (January – March 2024). However, there may be additional tournaments added to the later part of the year. This will be confirmed and announced at a later date.

BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2024

The BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2024 will take place in Pattaya, Thailand from 20 – 25 February.

The list of eligible players will be available following the World Rankings published after the Japan Para Badminton International 2023.

The event prospectus will be released in due course.

Para Badminton Tournament Update 2023 – World Ability Games

The World Ability Games will take place from 5 – 8 December. This is not a Paris 2024 Paralympic Games Qualification tournament and will not have any Race to Paris ranking points allocated to it.

The tournament will however provide World Ranking Points as per a Grade 2 – Level 3 tournament. The World Ability Games will also have classification.
