Thank you to the 150 Members and the 7 Associate Members who participated in the BWF AGM 2023 in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday 27 May 2023. We hope you enjoyed the Malaysian hospitality and that you had productive meetings here in Kuala Lumpur.

2. Decisions of the AGM 2023

The AGM approved all 10 proposals that were voted on – Proposals 1–8, 11 and 12. Proposal 9 and 10 were withdrawn at the meeting – see the AGM Agenda 2023 (linked here).

Please see the Summary Record of Voting attached (Annex A) and Detailed Voting Record (Annex B). These show the result from each proposal and how each Member voted on the proposals.

The decisions of the AGM 2023 were as follows:

1. Scrutineers – Ratified the scrutineers as proposed.
2. Minutes – Approved the minutes of the last meeting.
3. Accounts – Adopted the Audited Financial Statements for year ending 31 December 2022.
4. Council proposals
   • Amendments to Constitution – (see agenda for the clauses)
   • Vetting Rules 2023 and Transition Rules – Annexure D / Annexure E.
   • Appointed Sports Resolutions as the Independent Appointment Body
   • Suspension – Continuation of the suspension – Badminton Kenya.
   • Suspension – Continuation of the suspension – Fédération Royale Marocaine de Badminton
5. Subscriptions – Set the unit of subscription for 2024 as USD$200/unit (same as current).
6. Auditors 2023 – Maintained BDO PLT as auditors for 2023.
