Paris 2024 Olympic Games – Ordering Tickets for Badminton @ the Games

The BWF is offering Member Associations and stakeholders the opportunity to purchase tickets to the Badminton Competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The offer is for those who are already intending to be in Paris for the Olympic Games and need to purchase tickets for their use to watch badminton. This offer does not involve accreditation, transport or accommodation – only access to tickets.

Please find enclosed, information on the terms & conditions, and the process to express interest and to order tickets to badminton through the BWF.

Read the below, and if you wish to purchase tickets, please complete the online Expression of Interest form no later than Friday 14 October. We will then get in touch with you.

• Opening Ceremony – 26 July 2024
• Badminton Competition – 27 July – 5 August 2024

1. Badminton Competition – Paris 2024

The Badminton Competition in Paris is for 10 days – 27 July – 5 August 2024. 

There are 3 sessions a day for the first 6 days and 2 sessions a day during the medal match days. A range of price categories are offered depending on the stage of the competition and the location of the seating in the competition venue.

2. Expressing Interest / Ordering Tickets

BWF is able to order tickets to Paris 2024 Olympic Games badminton competition on behalf of the following “client groups” who are already going to be at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games:

1. Member Association Presidents / Continental Confederation (CC) Presidents / their families.
2. Member Association Board Members and family / CC Board Members and family, BWF Council family members.
3. Member Association Staff / CC staff / BWF staff.

Please note that there are strict guidelines on the use of tickets purchased through BWF for the Olympic Games and these include, but not limited to the following conditions:

• Tickets cannot be resold – they are purchased for specific individuals.
• They cannot be used to raise funds or used as a prizes in competitions.
• They can be bought by Member Associations for their client groups – President, board members, their family and staff.

3. Schedule of Matches, Sessions, and Cost of Tickets

Here are the steps you should take:

1. Review the enclosed.
2. Think about who you wish to purchase tickets for – which client groups.

4. BWF President’s Programme

As we did for Rio 2016 and London 2012 Olympic Games, BWF will have a President’s Programme for those Member Association Presidents who will already be in Paris for the Olympic Games.

Key elements of the BWF President’s Programme are:

• Period – The first 4 days of the Badminton Competition – 27, 28, 29, 30 July
• Tickets – to 4 Badminton Sessions during these days
• Hospitality – we will provide some hospitality for Presidents
