HSBC BWF World Tour Finals Confirmed for Guangzhou / 2 Tour Tournaments Cancelled

BWF is announcing today that Guangzhou is set to host its first international badminton tournament since 2019 with BWF confirming today that the season ending HSBC BWF World Tour Finals will be hosted in Guangzhou 14-18 December 2022 as planned.

Tournament details, COVID-19 protocols and entry requirements into China will be shared soon.

BWF also confirms that unfortunately two other Tour Tournaments in China, the VICTOR China Open 2022 (Super 1000) and Fuzhou China Open 2022 (Super 750), are not able to be hosted this year.

Tour Update – Two Tournaments Cancelled

Due to continuing complexities around COVID-19 and restrictions on travel, it was not possible to continue with plans to stage the tournaments in Changzhou and Fuzhou and they have been cancelled.

• VICTOR China Open 2022 (Super 1000) – Changzhou – 29 Oct – 4 Nov 2022
• Fuzhou China Open 2022 (Super 750) – Fuzhou – 6 – 11 December 2022

The following HSBC BWF World Tour tournaments are the remaining opportunities for players to earn ranking points to qualify for the Finals.
