Candidate List Updated – David Cabello Included

The BWF wishes to announce that Mr David Cabello (ESP) has been included in the list of candidates for the 2021 BWF Elections effective immediately.

Mr Cabello was originally a nominee to the BWF elections, having submitted his candidacy within the required deadlines. He was however declared Ineligible by the Vetting Panel as part of the Vetting Process.

On 13 May 2021, Mr Cabello appealed the Vetting Panel decision before the Independent Hearing Panel (IHP). This appeal was upheld in a decision dated 20 May 2021. The IHP found Mr Cabello to be Eligible and ordered that he be included in the list of candidates for the 2021 BWF Elections.

As the details of the vetting process are confidential, the BWF will not share any further information.
