CELCOM AXIATA Malaysia Open Postponed

Further to our update on 23 April 2021 (linked here), BWF wishes to advise that the CELCOM AXIATA Malaysia Open, a HSBC BWF World Tour Super 750 tournament, has been postponed.

Tournament Update 2021 – Postponement

• CELCOM AXIATA Malaysia Open 2021 – Kuala Lumpur – 25 – 30 May 2021

The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) together with the BWF made the decision to postpone the tournament in consultation and collaboration with local health authorities in Kuala Lumpur.

BAM has worked extremely hard to prepare a safe tournament environment for all participants however the recent surge in Covid-19 cases meant that BAM and the BWF had no choice but to postpone the tournament.
