YONEX-SUNRISE India Open Postponed

Further to our update on 5 April 2021 (linked here), BWF wishes to advise that the YONEX-SUNRISE India Open, a HSBC BWF World Tour Super 500 tournament, has been postponed.

Tournament Update 2021 – Postponement

• YONEX-SUNRISE India Open – Delhi – 11-16 May 2021

The Badminton Association of India (BAI) made the decision to postpone the tournament in consultation and collaboration with local health authorities in New Delhi and the BWF.

BAI has worked extremely hard to prepare a safe tournament environment for all participants however the recent spike in COVID-19 cases and gravity of the situation in New Delhi left BAI no choice but to postpone the tournament.
