Statement from BWF Secretary General Thomas Lund

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) can confirm that BWF Secretary General Thomas Lund has tested positive for COVID-19.

Statement from BWF Secretary General Thomas Lund:

Dear friends of the badminton community. I can confirm that on Thursday 10 December I tested positive for COVID-19.

I am now in isolation at my home in Denmark.

A thorough contact tracing procedure has taken place and those who I have had close contact with have been informed and the necessary SOPs activated. Fortunately, I have been in contact with very few people and mostly interacted with people through virtual meetings.

Whilst I do display mild symptoms of the coronavirus, I otherwise feel ok and will continue to fulfil my normal duties as BWF Secretary General from my isolation.
