TOTAL Sudirman Cup 2017 – Gold Coast – Deadline for Team Nomination

The deadline for team nominations for this event is Tuesday 31 January 2017. Please see the notice sent by Chris Trenholme to Members on 15 November 2016.

The nominations of teams must be done through the online entry system (linked here).

Request for Proposals to Host BWF World Junior Championships 2018 and 2019

The Request for Proposal and the Application Form for the above events are available on the BWF website (linked here).

The application / bidding process to host these events is underway:

1. BWF World Junior Championships 2018
2. BWF World Junior Championships 2019

Deadlines – application process – 2018 BWF World Junior Championships:

• 15 April 2017 – Deadline to submit an application to BWF
• 12 May 2017 – Date by which site visits by BWF will have been completed
• (Day TBC) May 2017 – Presentation to Council – Gold Coast, Australia

Deadlines – application process – 2019 BWF World Junior Championships:

• 21 August 2017 – Deadline to submit an application to BWF
• (Day TBC) October 2017 – Date by which site visits by BWF will have been completed
• (Day TBC) May 2017 – Presentation to Council – November 2017

Major Events 2018 and 2019 – Bidding Process / Deadlines

The deadline for the submission of proposals is Monday 30 January 2017.

The BWF Memo to Members sent on 24 October 2016 had the Request for Proposals for the following events:

1. Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2018
2. BWF World Championships 2018
3. Sudirman Cup 2019
4. BWF World Championships 2019

Further to that, those who wish to submit an application for one of these events can request a copy of the Major Events Host Contract from Thomas Lund for review.
