Coaches Conferences
In partnership with the local hosts of three world events in 2016 and 2017, the BWF is hosting a coaches conference alongside the event. The details of these are below:
BWF World Junior Championships 2016
– Location: Bilbao, Spain – 11 & 12 November 2016
– Focus: Developing Elite Junior Players
– Cost: €100 Euros
The 2016 World Junior Championships Coaching Conference will provide a combination of theory and on-court sessions, which focus on the development of junior elite athletes. The conference will develop and challenge coaches thinking through a series of interactive sessions from experts from the world of badminton.
Note – The registration fee is waived for one accredited coach per participating country in the 2016 BWF World Junior Championships. Please indicate the name of the nominated coach when expressing interest in the email below.

Dubai World Superseries Finals 2016
– Location: Dubai, UAE – 16 & 17 December 2016
– Focus: Talent Identification and Development of Junior Players
– Cost: $100 USD
The Badminton World Federation in partnership with Dubai Sports Council are pleased to announce details of the second BWF World Superseries Finals Coaching Forum. The 2016 forum will take place on 16th and 17 December and will focus on the areas of identifying and developing talent at a junior level. World class speakers from European and Asian badminton systems will present a combination of theory and practical sessions, that will challenge coaches thinking and approach to identifying and developing talent.
Coaches attending the coaching forum will receive transportation and tickets to attend the BWF World Superseries Finals On Friday 16th December (evening session) and Saturday 17th December (afternoon/evening sessions)

TOTAL BWF World Championships 2017
– Location: Scotland, Glasgow – 25 & 26 August 2017
– Focus: The Journey to Elite Performance
– Cost: £157-£175 GBP
The next BWF World Coaching Conference will be held in Glasgow on 25 and 26 August 2017, in conjunction with the TOTAL BWF World Championships.
The subject of the conference is ‘The Journey to Elite Performance’ and whether you are coaching high performance or grass roots players, it presents a perfect opportunity to develop and challenge your thinking.
In addition to world-class coaches and speakers (names to be confirmed) who will present on-court demonstrations and keynotes, we will present findings from current BWF research projects. In particular we will explore some of the differences in approaches between Asian and European nations.
Book before 31 January 2017 to be eligible for the 10% Early Bird discount. Our delegate fee includes two session tickets for the Badminton World Championships (Friday 25 August morning session & Saturday 26 August evening session), plus a gift bag, refreshments and shuttle transport from an official hotel to/from the conference venue and championships’ venue (we will offer two pick-up locations, both within a 5 minute walk of official hotels).
