  3. Schedule A – have you completed this and sent to BWF?

  1. World Badminton Day – 5 July 2022

This is a friendly reminder that World Badminton Day is on 5 July (next week).

Many Member Associations have already planned and registered their World Badminton Day activities to promote the day and the sport nationally. We look forward to hearing about your activities to promote badminton. See the promotional video on BWF TV – click below.

World Badminton Day brings people and communities together to experience fun and inclusive badminton, through a variety of active, engaging, and innovative badminton events. These events will take place globally over the same period of time. While events may range in size, location, and focus; the common theme to celebrate and promote badminton will be shared by all.

  1. Anti-Doping Education – Get Ready for the World Junior Championships

Every individual player must complete some anti-doping education before they participate in the BWF World Junior Championships 2022 (teams and/or individuals) – see below for more information on this requirement. The deadline to report back to BWF is 7 October 2022.

The Championships:

  • Mixed Team Championships (Suhandinata Cup) 17 – 22 October 2022
  • Individual Championships (Eye-Level Cups)           24 – 30 October 2022

Under Clause 17.2 of the BWF Anti-Doping Regulations, the BWF has selected the BWF World Junior Championships 2022 as an event where players must complete anti-doping educational activities before they participate in the event in Spain.

This means that every player must complete an anti-doping education course before they arrive in Spain for the Championships. This is a mandatory requirement in order to compete at the BWF World Junior Championships 2022.

Please see our announcement on the 22 June (linked here) and the information on the BWF website (linked here).
