Employment Opportunities – BWF Events Department
BWF is looking for talented individuals to join the team in the Events Department at the BWF headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Today the BWF advertised four new positions for the Events Department which is expanding to meet the increasing demands in servicing both events deliver and the events technical areas. The four positions are:
Events Delivery
- Tournament Manager – position description / requirements
The Tournament Manager will be responsible for the effective implementation of the BWF host agreements with each Member Association hosting a BWF World Tour event.
Events Technical
- Head of Technical Officials – position description / requirements
The Head Technical Officials is responsible for day-to-day management of the Technical Officials (TO) programmes, including; day-to-day TO operations and tournament assignments; management and development of the professional technical officials workforce; policy development; innovative initiatives within the TOs area; and TO education and development pathways.
- Technical Events Manager – position description / requirements
Technical Events Manager is responsible for the effective implementation of World Ranking, and Tournament and Draw Management systems for badminton, Para badminton, and AirBadminton including; tournament sanctioning, BWF calendar, entries, withdrawal and penalty processes, prize money processes, player transfer processes, seeding and draw processes, results management, and World Rankings; effective communication with tournament host organisations and Member Associations; and supporting the development of all competition Laws, regulations, and policies.
- Technical Events Manager – Growth Disciplines – position description / requirements
AirBadminton tournament delivery, support to Para badminton tournament delivery when required, working closely with Continental Confederations towards the development and sustainability of Continental Circuit tournaments for both AirBadminton and Para badminton, as well as support to athletes’ services where needed.
