Paris 2024 – Integrity Awareness Get Ready – Athletes, Coaches & Team Managers

To help athletes, coaches and team managers get ready for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the BWF is highlighting several online integrity education opportunities.

NOC’s and NPC’s may have already contacted National Associations with athletes qualified for Paris. We strongly recommend that all athletes, coaches and team managers to spend time and go through the online information to get ready for Paris.

  1. WADA – ADEL for Paris 2024 Olympics

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has online anti-doping educational courses specifically for players who have qualified for the Games in Paris. These courses can be accessed through the ADEL portal https://adel.wada-ama.org/

This e-Learning course is designed for athletes and coaches participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

By the end of this course, athletes and coaches will be confident in participating at Paris 2024 in line with the anti-doping rules.

The online course has 5 chapters and takes about 45 minutes to complete.

22 languages – Albanian, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, English, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian.


  1. WADA – ADEL for Paris 2024 Paralympics

ADEL for Paris 2024 Paralympics
This e-Learning course is designed for athletes and coaches participating in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

By the end of this course, athletes and coaches will be confident in participating at Paris 2024 in line with the anti-doping rules.

The online course has 5 chapters and takes about 45 minutes to complete.

This is available in 6 languages – Croatian, English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish.


  1. How to Access ADEL
  • Access the WADA ADEL platform here: https://adel.wada-ama.org/en
  • Each individual must create a new account (or if you already have an account – enter your login details). Make sure that the fields (i.e. sport, country) are properly filled in so that you appear in the reporting.
  • Locate the ADEL Academy and click on the ADEL for Paris 2024 Olympics / Paralympics
  • Check out the ADEL Academy – there are many other courses to enroll in later.

  1. IOC – Anti-Doping Rules Applicable to Paris 2024 Olympic Games

The IOC Anti-Doping Regulations for Paris 2024 (linked here) apply for the Games.

Key points to note are:

  • The International Testing Agency (ITA) is responsible for testing, therapeutic use exemptions, sample collection at the Games and results management.
  • The rules are in force from 18 July to 11 August 2024 (the day of the Opening of the Olympic Village up to and including the day of the Closing Ceremony).
  • In-competition period for testing for badminton athletes is 11.59 p.m. on 26 July to midnight on 05 August (the last day of the Badminton Competition).
  • Testing can take place at any time, any place with no advance warning.
  • Athletes must provide sufficient details of ‘Whereabouts’ such as block and room number in the Olympic Village, location of training, timing of regular activities etc.
  • Athletes must request a TUE before taking any substance that is included on the Prohibited List.

  1. IOC – Preventing Competition Manipulation Course

The Preventing Competition Manipulation e-learning module is now available on the Athlete365 website.

  • It available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin and Russian.
  • Access to the Preventing Competition Manipulation e-learning module can be found via this link https://athlete365.org/maketherightdecision-bwf  
  • Access to the module is available on any device including smartphones, tablets or laptops.
  • Upon successful completion of the e-learning module, a certificate will be issued.
  • This should not take longer than 15 minutes.
