Paris 2024 – Olympic Qualifiers – Phase 2 – Reallocation

Once again, congratulations to all those Member Associations whose players have qualified to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. 

The Olympic Qualification period commenced on 1 May 2023 and ended on 28 April 2024.

Phase 2 – Reallocation

Member Associations with qualified players in this reallocation phase are advised to ask their NOC to confirm to the BWF their selection of qualified players /pairs by Friday 7 June 2024 23.59 hours, KL time (+8 hours GMT).The contact person for confirmation is Fern Gilders – Head of Tournament Development – [email protected] 

Should you fail to confirm your selection of qualified players/pairs before the deadline date of 7 June 2024 23.59 hours, KL Time (+8 hours GMT), the relevant Olympic Qualifying Regulations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games shall be applied relating to reallocation of unused quota places. 


Summary of Reallocations

Men’s Singles

  • The three declined allocation slots in Men’s Singles at the end of Phase 1 have been reallocated to the next eligible NOCs. These NOCs are listed in dark purple (ITA, VIE and GER).
  • The conditional allocation slots have been adjusted accordingly (USA, SUI, and AUT). Positions shown in pink are additional places added to men’s singles due to male players qualifying in two events. The offer of these places is conditional on the continuing participation of the players qualifying in two events.  If their place is declined or the player becomes unavailable (due to injury, illness, etc.) and the player next in line is not in two events, then the place in singles will no longer be available.  Places may be reallocated until 5th July 2024. Please confirm provisional acceptance of these slots.

 

Women’s Singles

  • The one declined allocation slot in Women’s Singles at the end of Phase 1 has been reallocated. This NOC is listed in dark purple (DEN).

 

Men’s Doubles

  • All quota positions at the end of Phase 1 – accepted.

 

Women’s Doubles

  • All quota positions at the end of Phase 1 – accepted.

 

Mixed Doubles

  • The one declined allocation slot in Mixed Doubles at the end of Phase 1 has been reallocated. This NOC is listed in dark purple (SGP).
