BWF is pleased to announce the dates for the BWF World Junior Championships 2022 in Spain in the latter part of 2022.

BWF World Junior Championships 2022:

• Mixed Team Event – Monday 17 to Saturday 22 October 2022
• Educational / Cultural Activities – Sunday 23 October 2022
• Individual Events – Monday 24 October to Sunday 30 October 2022

BWF World Junior Championships 2021

As we announced on 11 August (linked here), unfortunately, it is not feasible to conduct any tournaments in China this year and that the BWF World Junior Championships – due to be hosted in China in October 2021 – was postponed.

BWF can confirm, that unfortunately the BWF World Junior Championships 2021 will not take place this year / early next year and is considered cancelled.

We very much regret that it has not been possible to find a way to hold the World Junior Championships again this year because of the many COVID-19 complexities around travel, and safety of young athletes.

BWF is confident and committed to the World Junior Championships taking place in 2022 (see above) and we hope that Junior Circuit Tournaments will also be able to resume to a larger extent across all regions in the first quarter of 2022.
