BWF Membership Grants Programme

The BWF is launching a new Membership Grants Programme for the period 2020-2024, which provides opportunities for Member Associations to access tailored support, to assist them in developing badminton in their country. This programme, approved by the Council in October 2019, supports Capacity Building of Member Associations – one of the five strategic priorities of the BWF Strategic Plan 2020 – 2024.

The programme follows the successful Continental Confederation Human Resource Grant programme which has increased the capacity of our Continental partners, enabling them to better support the development of our Member Associations.

Assessing Needs

The Membership Grants Programme is designed to support eligible Member Associations who demonstrate specific developmental needs. These areas of development will be identified through the analysis of the results from the 2020 Members Questionnaire and combined with other data collected from various sources. This information will be used to more accurately gauge the level of development of Member Associations.

Membership Questionnaire

The completion of the 2020 BWF Members Questionnaire by 31st January 2020 will be pivotal to the implementation of this programme. The questionnaire will also provide a chance for Member Associations to share their priority developmental areas where support would be of maximum benefit. We therefore encourage all of our members to complete the questionnaire to enable us to commence the implementation of this important developmental programme.

More Information on the Grants

The BWF will provide Member Associations information on the type and level of support they can access through the grants programme, prior to the BWF AGM in May 2020.
