COVID-19 Protocols
COVID-19 has had a major impact on international badminton. The safety and well-being of all participants at international tournaments is our top priority.
The BWF circulated the first edition of the Protocols for the Safe Return to Badminton on 27 August 2020 (linked here) and these have been used as a basis for each tournament’s specific protocols.
An updated version of the protocols was published in late 2020, and this will be progressively updated and made available on this page.
The Safety Protocols & Operating Procedures is a guideline for Tournament Hosts to develop their participant guidelines.
Each country has a different approach to COVID-19 and the BWF Events Staff work closely with the local organiser and the relevant health authorities to ensure a safe competition for all involved.
The tournament specific guidelines can be downloaded above as soon as they are available.
