Player of the Year Awards 2020/2021 Nominees Announced

BWF is pleased to announce the Nominees List for the Player of the Year Awards 2020 / 2021.

As you may recall, the Council decided in October 2020 that the years 2020 and 2021 would be combined because of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the tournament calendar. The award winners will be announced later this month during the Bali Leg of the HSBC BWF World Tour.

In considering the many talented players who had amazing performances across the period, the BWF Awards Commission made a special mention of the extraordinary journey of Guatemala’s Kevin Cordon across four Olympic Games and his stunning performances at Tokyo which took him to the semi-finals.
